Flavor galore with spice cake, and ginger snaps in a rich mouthfeel. Try a drop of water to open up hints of herbal black tea, dark berry jam and pineapple pepper. Finish is long and warm, and ends with allspice and sweet oak.

RD1 Straight Bourbon Finished in Brazilian Amburana Wood represents a bold exploration in craft distilling. After aging Kentucky Straight Bourbon for 4+ years, our partner cooperage's patented honeycomb-drilling technique infuses Amburana staves—known as "Brazilian Oak"—into the barrel, creating deeper wood interaction and complexity.
The result is a whiskey that transcends traditional bourbon. Baking spices dominate the nose: apple cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar, followed by pine, vanilla, peaches, and apricots. The palate delivers spice cake and gingersnaps with a rich mouthfeel. A touch of water reveals herbal black tea, dark berry jam, and pineapple pepper. The finish is long, warm, and closes with allspice and sweet oak.
