What began as a tribute has grown into something bigger—an annual release that brings people together to support the fight and honor the stories behind every battle. This 94-proof blend of straight whiskeys, aged six years, opens with aromas of crackled black pepper, warm spice, caramel, vanilla, and citrus zest. The palate delivers lively baking spice balanced by sweet caramel and creamy vanilla, with hints of smoke and roasted nuts. The finish lingers with notes of caramel, spice, cherry fruit, and roasted nuts. Crafted from a mash bill of 58% corn, 37% rye, 2% malted rye, and 3% malted barley, it's a meaningful bourbon that raises a glass to remembrance, resilience, and the ongoing fight.
About Penelope
Penelope Bourbon was crafted and created in a classic American tradition – to celebrate an impending birth of a child. In 2018, Mike Paladini and his wife, Kerry, found out they were expecting a baby girl, Penelope. To commemorate this occasion, Mike quickly realized he wanted to create a spirit that embodied the daily joy of celebrating life’s pleasures – big and small.
