Tasting notes reveal a nose of vanilla with hints of apricot, cherry, and rose petal. The palate delivers thick and creamy maple syrup with prominent oak flavor, while a long finish of chocolate and toasted oak rounds out the experience.
Bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) using Mash Bill #1, this elegant expression is best enjoyed neat. Award-winning across multiple international competitions, Old Charter French Oak represents a refined take on classic bourbon craftsmanship.
About Old Charter
The Old Charter story began in 1874, when Adam and Ben Chapeze named their whiskey after the Charter Oak tree that grew on Wyllys Hyll in Hartford, Connecticut. A 600-year old symbol, the Charter Oak represents American freedom and independence. The name conveys the significant role that white oak barrels play in the making of the greatest American whiskeys.
