Taketsuru Pure Malt is a blended malt whisky named in honor of Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru, the first Japanese distiller to master whisky-making in Scotland and bring that expertise back to Japan. Relaunched in 2020 with a refined blend and updated presentation, this expression unites carefully selected malt whiskies from Nikka’s Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. The result is a beautifully balanced pure malt that harmonizes elegant softness, rich mouthfeel, and layered smokiness with remarkable depth and precision.
