About Ketel One
Anchored in rich family tradition and craftsmanship, the Nolet Distillery was founded over 325 years ago in 1691 and has been passed down from father to son for over 11 generations. The 10th generation applied that craftsmanship to create Ketel One Vodka. After years of experimentation, drawing on his great, great grandfather’s tasting notes, Carolus discovered the perfect recipe. Combining modern column distillation with the unique liquid produced by copper pot stills he created Ketel One Vodka. He names it after the oldest, coal-fired copper pot still used at the distillery – Distilleerketel #1 – an image of which still graces the label of every one of our bottles. The Nolet family personally approves every batch of Ketel One before bottling.
