Distilled and charcoal mellowed at Cascade Hollow Distillery, this rare, perfectly aged reserve indulges with a full complex aroma of subtly sweet toffee and dates, hints of peppery spice on the palate, and a rich, charred oak finish. This full-bodied whisky is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Includes one 87 proof 750 mL bottle of George Dickel 17 Year Old Reserve Tennessee Whisky. Please drink responsibly.
About George Dickel
Born 40 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, George A. Dickel was an established Nashville merchant when he entered the whisky business. Dickel grew his reputation for selling the smoothest, most mellow spirits in the region. George Dickel preferred whisky made in the winter months more than summer months because he felt it made the whisky taste smoother, so the company began advertising their George A. Dickel Cascade Tennessee Whisky as “Mellow as Moonlight.” This is why our whisky is chilled before undergoing the charcoal-mellow filtration known as the Lincoln County Process. This extra step smooths out the flavor and we’re still the only Tennessee distillery to do it. Throughout time, the whisky production changed locations several times in Tennessee, and even to Kentucky for a brief period – but eventually came back to Tullahoma, where the brand is still distilled and aged. The distillery is part of the American Whiskey Trail.
