Espolòn Flor de Oro is a seasonal reposado tequila honoring Día de Los Muertos traditions. Crafted from 100% hand-harvested Blue Weber Agave, distilled in pot and column stills, then aged for at least two months in American Oak barrels. The signature twist: a blend with organic Marigold extract creates an elegant, refined flavor profile.
Tasting notes reveal roasted agave, vanilla, bitter floral marigold, cacao nibs, and cinnamon on the palate. Aromas of orange peel, oak, and caramel complement the clear liquid with medium oilness and an intense golden-yellow hue.
The name Flor de Oro—Golden Flower—references the vibrant marigold that inspires the product. The label features an Ofrenda honoring founder Cirilo Oropeza, with the rooster Ramón celebrating his legacy. In Mexican tradition, marigolds guide spirits back to earth during the Day of the Dead.

About Espolon
As our founder Cirilo Oropeza explored how to bring to life the Tequila he envisioned, he was driven by two Mexican icons: the rooster, a symbol of national pride, and the revolutionary artist Jose Guadalupe Posada. Cirilo was so inspired that soon, a rooster lovingly named Ramon, alongside art deeply inspired by Posada, would come together to define Espolòn’s core meaning.
