Espolòn Extra Añejo represents the pinnacle of aged tequila craftsmanship. This premium spirit undergoes a distinctive double cask aging process that sets it apart: three years of maturation in bourbon barrels followed by eight months in French Chardonnay barrels. About Espolon
As our founder Cirilo Oropeza explored how to bring to life the Tequila he envisioned, he was driven by two Mexican icons: the rooster, a symbol of national pride, and the revolutionary artist Jose Guadalupe Posada. Cirilo was so inspired that soon, a rooster lovingly named Ramon, alongside art deeply inspired by Posada, would come together to define Espolòn’s core meaning.
