Bruichladdich Octomore 14.2 represents a masterful cask selection by Head Distiller Adam Hannett, combining ex-Oloroso and Amarone casks to create an exceptionally layered single malt. The Oloroso influence delivers the signature sweetness and nuttiness characteristic of this sherry cask, while Amarone contributes rich red fruit complexity. Finished in French oak, this heavily peated Islay whisky achieves remarkable depth—the smoke pairs brilliantly with the cask's robust, savoury character. The result is a sophisticated spirit balancing Octomore's iconic peak smoke with elegant wood-driven nuance and fruit-forward notes.
