Tasting Notes
Deep amber, rich caramel and toasted oak on the nose, layered vanilla and cinnamon on the palate with a long, warm finish that doesn't quit.
Product Details
Forty years ago, Elmer T. Lee pulled a single barrel from Warehouse H and changed bourbon forever. Blanton's became the first commercially marketed single barrel bourbon in 1984 — and four decades later, the name still carries more weight than anything else on the shelf.
This 40th Anniversary edition marks the milestone with a limited run featuring the signature white horse stopper. Every bottle is hand-selected from a single barrel, aged to the standards that made the original a legend.
What's in the glass:
Deep amber with gold at the edges. The nose opens with caramel and toasted oak, then pulls you into dark chocolate, dried fruit, and warm baking spices. On the palate it's layered — vanilla up front, cinnamon and nutmeg through the middle, a flash of cherry on the turn. The finish stays with you: long, warm, a trace of smoke, and caramel that doesn't quit.
This is allocated bourbon. When it's gone, it's gone.
About Blantons
