On the nose are notes of cranberry and citrus, complemented by hints of lavender, coriander, and juniper. Smooth, sweet-tart notes of juicy cranberry and bold red notes of blood orange are on the palate with a touch of earthiness from the botanicals. Soft, velvety smoothness coats the palate for a medium-bodied finish. Best enjoyed in a Gin Fizz, a Cosmo, or even a Mimosa. So good the cocktails basically make themselves.
About Aviation
Aviation was created by a unique partnership between a bartender and a distiller, in Portland, Oregon. Created in Portland, Oregon by America’s first bartender-distiller partnership who had a vision for a versatile and mixable gin. The vision was to create a gin that blended perfect with the popular Jazz era cocktail that was a staple of the roaring 20’s, the Aviation Cocktail. After 20 rounds of trials the recipe they landed on was a new style of gin known as American Gin. The resulting Aviation Gin has become an icon of the American distilling movement and sparked the creation of Distillery Row in Portland, Oregon. As a gin created for bartenders by a bartender, it is a favorite of the mixology world.
