Ardbeg Anthology: The Unicorn's Tale is a rare 14-year-old single malt Scotch whisky matured in a marriage of aromatic Madeira and classic bourbon casks. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, this legendary edition delivers a complex flavor profile that balances sweetness with a sinister smoky twist.
On the nose, expect rich aromas of baked banana bread, syrupy sponge pudding, and burning cedarwood, with tropical fruit notes emerging when water is added. The palate showcases zesty lime and sweet peaches, followed by smoked fruit, antiseptic lozenges, creosote, and soft barley malt with hints of nutmeg and peat smoke. The finish is long and lingering, with menthol, clove, wood smoke, and camphor.
