2XO The Sneakerhead Blend Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Two Times Oak (“2XO”) is a blending process where Dixon re-barrels his hand selected aged whiskey into new charred oak barrels for intense wood notes and extraordinarily rich, complex flavors. Each blend is different, inspired by Dixon’s drive to innovate, collaborate and create high quality liquids with unique characteristics and profiles. The Icon series are one-off small batch releases. Each blend is different and bares its own name, inspired by the story behind it. It’s a one-of-a-kind blending approach, where Dixon has access to two proprietary KSBW mashbills – one low rye bourbon mashbill (16%-18%) and one high rye bourbon mashbill (35%). Dixon double barrels 6+-year-old KSBW of the high rye bourbon mashbill into new charred oak barrels in both #3 and #4 char levels. This gives Dixon 4 components with which to blend – low rye bourbon, high rye bourbon, double-barreled high rye bourbon #3 char, and double-barreled high rye #4 char. The possibilities are endless.
